HOTEL RECEIVES SPECIAL COMMENDATION FROM CONDE NAST
The Braye Beach Hotel now has an award winning wine list thanks to a recent competition. The CondŽ Nast Johansens/Champagne Taittinger Wine List of the Year Award 2010 honoured the hotelÕs wine list with a Special Commendation at a recent awards ceremony in London. It was one of only ten establishments throughout the UK given a commendation from this prestigious organisation.
Judges for the competition included Sarah-Jane Evans, Master of Wine and Wine Editor of BBC Good Food Magazine and Olive Magazine; Justin Llewelyn, Ambassador Champagne Taittinger; and Andrew Warren, Managing Director, CondŽ Nast Johansens, who all commented on the very high standard throughout.
These esteemed judges said of the Braye Beach Hotel's wine list; 'The diner is provided with a good level of information to help them make a sensible choice. It is a user friendly list and well presented with an interesting range.'
General Manager Scott Chance was thrilled to receive the Award, and commented; 'we are proud of our wine list here at the Braye Beach and very happy that it has now been given recognition. We try to combine an eclectic mix of wines to suit a variety of tastes, and ensure that the selection complements the delicious food which we serve in our restaurant.'
