Getting Around

Getting around in Alderney is easy. If you enjoy walking then everywhere is within walking distance as the island is only 3.5 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. Alternatively, the island offers several means of transport to help you on your way.

Bicycle Hire

Cycling is a perfect way to take in the island and explore the hidden lanes and idyllic coastal paths. Various companies hire bikes on the island and our reception staff will happily help you with your enquiries.

Bus

Guided island tours by bus run on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, departing in the afternoon. Booking for this is recommended

Taxi

Alderney’s taxi drivers are welcoming, reliable and always helpful. The reception staff at the hotel will be happy to book taxis for you on request. If you would like us to book taxi transfers to and from the airport please ask in advance and we will arrange for a taxi to meet you on arrival. Island tours are also available by taxi and can be booked through the hotel.

Car Hire

There are two hire car companies on the island offering a limited range of cars for daily or weekly hire. Please contact the hotel directly for further information.
